Because wrenching is boring alone.

Your cars. Your jobs. Your rank.

Log the work you do on your own cars, prove it, and climb from Zip Tie Mechanic to Guild Master. Help other owners and the community backs you up.

Opening soon. We're building it now with a small group of founding members.

What you get

Real work. Real credit.

Most car communities are walls of opinions. Wrench Guild keeps score on what people actually did, and on which answers actually fixed something.

Log it. Prove it. Earn the badge.

Claim a job in seconds for a little XP. Pass a short check on that job to unlock its badge and the full reward. Bronze, Silver and Gold depend on how many different cars you have done it on, and the top tiers of hard jobs need a step-by-step guide you wrote.

  • Add notes, miles, photos and a YouTube video to every job
  • Your service log builds as you go, with reminders by miles or months
  • Parts and tools listed per job, with links to where you shop

Just finished brake fluid flush on 2012 Honda Civic
BrakesVerified97,000 mi

Two-person flush. Old fluid was dark brown. Bled the farthest wheel first.

Answers that fixed it, backed by the crowd

The person who asked picks the answer that worked. Other members then confirm it with thumbs up. Only then does it count as a validated fix and pay out, so a quick "k" never outranks real help.

  • Validated fixes move to the top of the thread
  • Your reputation is built from fixes the community confirmed
  • Short or copied answers earn nothing

Measure rotor thickness and runout before buying anything. Mine was warped by 0.004 in.

A forum for your exact car

Every make, model and year has its own section, so you read advice for your generation, not someone else's. Join the sections you care about and see how many members are in them.

  • Your cars are pinned at the top
  • Your weekly digest brings the top 10 posts for your cars
  • Ask in a section and the right owners see it first

Collect the lore

Earn collectibles by helping people and finishing jobs: the elusive 10mm socket, your grandpa's wrench, a sealed bottle of blinker fluid. Each drops in a condition from rat-infested or rusty up to mint, and the rarest are limited runs with serial numbers. Badges for helping people climb Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

  • Collectibles are earned, never sold
  • Pick three to show off on your posts from your garage
  • Every car board has rewards that only turn up there, and rare cars get rarer pieces
  • Hidden badges reward odd, real behavior. Find them all

Quests

A quest log in your feed reminds you to prove your jobs and keeps the next goal in sight.

Weekly digest

The top 10 posts for your cars, once a week. Sponsors are always labeled and never touch rank.

Themes

Workshop, The Garage, Cyber Attack, Island Fusion, Football and Dad Mode. Dad Mode and Workshop stay free.

Search

Find the thread you half remember with make:, year: and is:solved, and forgive your typos.

How it works

Three steps to your first badge

Add your cars

Tell us what you own. Your feed, forum and digest start from your exact make, model and year.

Claim, then prove

Tick the jobs you have done. Pass a short check on each to turn a claim into a badge.

Help, and climb

Answer questions. When the community confirms your fix, your rank and your collection grow.

The ladder

Six ranks. No shortcuts.

Higher ranks need more than XP. They need fixes the community confirmed and jobs you proved.

Our rules

What we won't do

No buying rank

XP, stars and badges cannot be bought. Paid extras are looks and conveniences only.

Ads say they're ads

Every sponsor is labeled as a paid placement, capped per digest, and has no effect on ranking.

Your details stay yours

Gender, favorite movies and stores are private. They are never shown on your profile or sold.

No fake experts

Demo members are labeled and removed before launch. Nobody pretends to be a real mechanic.

Questions

Before you sign up

Is it free?

Joining, logging jobs, the forum and the weekly digest are free. A paid plan for extras like premium themes and a service-history export is planned. Pricing is not set yet.

Do I need to be a mechanic?

No. Wrench Guild is for people who work on their own cars, and for fans who follow the cars they love. Professional mechanic accounts are not part of the first launch.

Is the advice safe?

Advice is from other owners, so treat it like advice from a friend. Validated fixes show what the community confirmed. Always follow your service manual and use jack stands.

Which cars are covered?

Major makes, models and years each get their own section, from daily drivers to project cars.

Is there an app?

The web version comes first, with a phone app planned to match it.

Your garage is waiting.

Wrench Guild is opening soon.

We're opening to a small group of founding members first, then to everyone.
